Sydney Green, the founder of Trotting On, is a twenty-one-year-old jumper & dressage rider from Central Indiana who now lives in the bluegrass of Lexington, Kentucky. She works full-time in the creative sector of the sports industry with a specialty in content creation & social media. Being remote allows her to ride and show year-round in Lexington & Wellington. When she isn’t riding and showing, you can find her listening to a fun podcast, watching Formula One, or spending time with friends.
Currently, Sydney has three horses in her string and is always looking to add more. Carina, is Sydney’s retired children’s jumper mare that is enjoying the pasture puff lifestyle while occasionally teaching kids how to ride. Goose is her rescued Quarter Horse that she is hoping to finish developing as a pony jumper. And finally, she has Phim, her eventer-turned-jumper mount that she shows in the adult jumpers and hopes to eventually move up to the A/Os with.

Trotting On was originally launched in 2016 as The Preppy Equestrian. It was a more in-depth outlet to talk and interact with her followers. Focused mostly on product reviews and how-to’s, The Preppy Equestrian had great success over the years, but now she is making a shift to a more experience-based content with Trotting On. Speaking with professionals throughout the equestrian community and through her own experiences to create content that is relatable and relevant to everybody. This blog is for those who share a love for horses and the lifestyle that comes with it, no matter the discipline or background.
